Backpack, made to your specification rather than pulled from a stock list. The body is cut and sewn in our own workshop in Cangnan, so the pattern carries your dimensions, your colour and your closure instead of a catalogue default. Reference BK-PL00005. Zips are stitched through a tape that is wider than the teeth, so the seam does not pucker and the pull runs without catching at the curve.

Material and construction

Cotton is a woven cellulosic fibre: it breathes, it takes print on the surface rather than in a film, and it softens with every wash. We stock it as light muslin for pouches and as 8oz to 12oz canvas for totes, unbleached or dyed to a Pantone reference.

Printed cotton is usually screen printed, which keeps the ink inside the weave and leaves the hand of the cloth intact. Organic fibre and undyed natural shades are available on request.

Printing and branding

Most of these bags leave the floor with a one or two colour screen print, because it reads at arm's length and costs least to set up. Heat transfer suits a small logo with fine detail, digital print carries gradients and photographs, and embroidery gives a raised mark without a second component.

Screens are kept on file after the first run, so a repeat order prints from the same plate and the second delivery matches the first. Tolerances are plus or minus three millimetres on a sewn bag, which is what a handmade line has always held and what your own inspection should expect.

Size, colour and small changes

Sizes are made to your dimensions rather than picked from a list. If you have the object the bag has to hold, send its measurements and we will work out the allowance; if you have a drawing already, we cut to it. Where the bag is a repeat, we keep the pattern and the screen on file so the second run matches the first.

Handle type and drop, lining, inner pockets and labelling are all open to change, and each is priced before it is made rather than after. Anything that alters the pattern is quoted as a variation on this shape rather than as a new product.

Packing, checks and shipping

Every order is inspected in line and again before packing, against the approved sample: print position, colour, stitch density, hardware function and measurement. Tolerances are plus or minus three millimetres on a sewn bag, which is what a handmade line has always held and what your own inspection should expect.

Shipping documents are prepared from the same order sheet as the goods, so the invoice, the packing list and the carton marks agree. Transit options and documents are confirmed with the order, and the packing list is issued before the container is loaded.

A1: Yes, printing is done in house on cotton canvas using screen printing or embroidery. We ask for vector artwork, but a clean photograph is enough to start, and you see the placement on a proof before production.

A4: Every carton is checked against the approved sample before dispatch. If a run does not match what was signed off, we remake or credit it rather than ask you to absorb the difference.
